glad you like her! i don't think it's just a Japanese thing, though, i think that's narrow-minded. it's not like in the States we have any video games with any muscular or meaty girls, either, and in fact Japan DOES have characters like this, way more than anyone else does. like Mary Ivonskaya from Tobal, Chun Li and her massive thighs, Felicia is pretty muscular in some of the official art, and Elena from Street Fighter is kinda muscular too. can't think of anyone in non-Japanese games who looks like them, they've got us beat.
I see you use digital pens like me. Which program do you use, Adobe or Manga Studio?
I like the alt outfit you've given her, plus the fact that her ass-kick (see what I did there?) hi-tops look like they have Reebok Pumps on the tongue.
At last, I've gotten around to commenting on this one.
Your Tifa art rocks so much, it's finally made me like her as a character! I didn't think about her much before Advent Children, and the movie made me respect her, but your drawings tipped me over into realizing she's a cool person (and very much kick-ass). Plus, I love the shorts instead of her miniskirt, and how muscular you draw her arms and legs.
(Also: read The Abandoned, and LOVED it. I really hope I can get Water Baby and the rest of Wet Moon for my birthday.)
thanks!! i actually didn't like what they did with Tifa in Advent Children, she had a decent fight scene or whatever but she was way too much of a damsel for me. she's got damsel stuff in the original game too, but it was more tempered with her getting to do other things, while in AC she didn't really seem to get to do much of anything.
thank you so much for reading some of my comics! truly appreciated, i'm really happy you dig them. be sure to check out Shadoweyes, too!!
Darn right I will! I've got Shadoweyes #1, and am looking forward to reading Shadoweyes in Love. I've always liked vigilante-type heroes, and this very realistic take (in a future dystopia--another thing I like) is, no lie, something I never knew I'd been looking for until I read it.

She looks tough, not some stick-thin video game character.

glad you like the pic, thanks!
