You know, I've always found it strange that no one ever talks about the inherent cultural issues behind Tang Shen being Chinese, while Hamato Yoshi, Oroku Saki, and the Foot are Japanese. I mean, instead of a generic love triangle between Oroku, Hamato, and Tang, I think it would be more realistic and compelling if Oroku was racist against Tang for being Chinese. It would parallel and emphasize the turtles feeling alienated from the world - not only are they strange creatures, but even in their previous life, their mother felt the same alienation.

Tang was Chinese? I was not aware of that fact. Yes, that would be intriguing....Saki's lust for her beauty, compiled with his disdain of her culture, and jealous of her eye only fot Yoshi....*shivers* Ooo! Now THAT'S a backstory!!
