like many of my pictures, this one was just a hair away from being a disaster!

I'm doing sumi ink these days and I can understand what you mean about the disaster :D It's so incredibly thick that it's easier to do block colours than gradations with that ink. This one looks gorgeous, I'm so glad you succeeded ^^
Is this Wet Moon of yours readable anywhere?

thank you!! :)
it wasn't the sumi ink that almost made this one a disaster, it was the markers! that's usually what happens to me. i find sumi ink easy to use, when i do make a blunder with that it's just because it's ink and it's permanent, but that would also happen with any ink. although sumi ink is more forgiving than most inks because it's water soluble and if you get lucky, and also depending on the paper, you can bring it out with a little water and careful scrubbing.

if you look on my journal here, there are a bunch of image banners of my various books and each Wet Moon one will take you to Amazon where you can get the book, but you can also order them from brick-and-mortar stores or get lucky and find them on the shelves, or some libraries have them too.

^^
Ah, I've got some copic markers in my desk but that's where they've stayed for the most part -_-; I'm really starting to like sumi ink at the mo, and I'll probably upload some stuff. I'll take your word for it about being able to bring the ink out later, but I have found it relatively easy to use.

Thanks! I took a look at some of the pages up on your blog and I love the atmosphere. I'll think about buying it ;) I usually set myself a three-day waiting time whenever I shop stuff :D

Nat's SISTERS? oh wow... Did you ever mention them before this book?

yep! they're in volume 1, shown in a photograph, and i believe the next time they're discussed is volume 4. i have a feeling maybe they're mentioned a third time but i can't remember. they finally appear in the flesh in volume 6.

I always love the way you draw the mouth and this is no exception! Beautiful piece of art, so many cool details! One thing I like in your art as well is how you can manage to draw every move in the body so it looks so realistic, wish you could teach me that! xD

The colouring is incredible!
