it depends. the old toys from the late 80s were the first thing to have them with different skin colors, but they were the same color in the color comics, official artwork, and the movies. then they were different colors in the 2003 show, and they're different in the current comics. the new show coming out next month has them with very slightly different shades, while the new toys has them with noticeably different colors but different than the original toy colors, heh. so it varies.
I actually saw an ad for that new show on Nickelodeon maybe I'm gonna check this out. I only know that (as far as I can remember) shitty show from the 90ies, so far. (and my bro had this one comic... it had Japanese mythology and nuclear power stations)
Well only the one I mentioned, but that was a long time ago. I brought it with me the last time I was at my parents' house, so now I can read it again (found it while looking for my old laptop. Didn't find that though... I wonder what happend to it)
oh okay, i misunderstood. i'm not sure which comic your brother had, it doesn't ring a bell... it might be TMNT #28 which has a nuclear power plant in it but no Japanese mythology, it's got mutant fishpeople! there are some original issues that i haven't read because a good chunk of the old series is drawn and written by other artists and writers and i'm mostly just interested in the Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird stuff.
Hm, no mutant fish people there but a fox ninja and a guy who turns into a dragon! But yeah, it's not by Eastman and Laird, it's written by Dean Clarrain and drawn by Chris Allen and some other people.
