I love your work so much. I just love the way you show true women. Not stick thin girls with perfect hair, perfect skin. This has to be the first maybe only drawing of tifa where she looks like how her character portrays her to be.
I don't see how some people commenting think shes looks fat. How is her stomach fat, if she was, in that possition she would have a few rolls of it!

she doesn't even have rolls. some pple can have extra meat on their bones but not be fat. compare the bravissimo catalog to the victoria secret catalog. bravissimo makes woman look attractive without compromising on style and body image. victoria secret is just eye candy.
thank you!! have you seen my other Tifa pics? i don't get people saying she's fat, either; or like it's a bad thing if she was. i wrote about this phenomenon elsewhere, how the body type/weight spectrum for illustrated art is shifted from how it is in the real world. since we're so used to seeing exaggeratedly thin women in this sort of artwork, that becomes the "average," middle-of-the-spectrum body type; so then when somebody draws a girl whose body would be thin or even skinny in the real world, the character appears thick or fat because nobody's accustomed to seeing that. and so forth.
sometimes i do draw stick thin girls, though; they're real women, too!
Yes, a curvy Tifa! She's drop-dead gorgeous here, I love how you gave her curves unlike most fanart where she makes hatpins look obese. I was always waiting for her to snap in half in the game, too. Now I can actually believe that she can kick ass, with a body like that.
I really like that fact that you didn't draw her as a twig. She looks much more realistic and in my opinion, prettier this way.I actually wish she was like this in the official artwork and game because she looks really weird and out of porportion (sorry if I spelled that wrong) with a skinny body and large breasts. This is definatley going in my favorites!
I don't get why anyone would think she's chubby...that actually boggles my mind, since to me she's actually fairly slender, albeit with pretty muscular legs. Maybe they get confused by her big, womanly hips, though with legs that strong, a lady would need good hips to wield them. She's uber-fabulous all the same. ;D
yeah, people are nuts. i have this semi-theory involving a "body type spectrum" with drawn characters, i'll just cut-n-paste it from another post i made, heh: "drawn characters go by a different body type spectrum: people are so used to skinny characters in comics and cartoons that when there's a character who's drawn with realistic proportions, even a body that would be skinny in real life, people cry "fat" because it looks so much bigger than the characters they typically see. so it's like "average" is moved down on the spectrum of skinny<->fat and everyone's perceptions get altered accordingly."
oh well. what can ya do, right? i think my Tifa renditions are fairly slender, too; i just pumped her up a bit 'cause i figured since she trains as an ass-kickin' warrior monk she'd definitely be well-built.
Fanart is art from a fan of a subject. The subject here is an amazing martial artist. This girl is not in shape, she lacks muscle tone. I bealive most people like this pic since she dosnt look like motel. That opinion - if it comes from someone who understands who Tifa is - would be diffuclt to explain as anything other then being for the reason that you feel more moral approving of a girl with a more "real" figure."
She looks in-shape to me. D: I have a friend who's Olympic-level at Tae Kwon Do, and she looks almost chubby sort of like Tifa looks here, but it's all muscle. I don't think girls always get the super-defined abs that guys do.
I love the way he portrays his characters. They're realistic and can be related to. This man has more fans than you could ever fathom. He's got loads of books out there that are bestsellers and he gets paid for his awesome artwork. What do you have? 6 magic cards. Wow. Love the gallery. Even though I haven't uploaded any of my artwork yet, you really have no leg to stand on when it comes to criticizing. If you have nothing CONSTRUCTIVE to say, be quiet. No one wants to hear your mouth.
WTF, it's fanart. People can do whatever they want with fanart, that's why it's called fanart. Your comment is pretentious--what are you the arbiter of how fanart should be executed?
Hell, even if you sincerely didn't like the way the character was drawn (rather than simply being spiteful) there are more constructive ways to indicate that. You don't need to do it with your nose in the air.
